The temple

Temple

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 New English Translation (NET Bible)

16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

17 If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.

The temple in Jerusalem was set high upon a hill.

It was for all to see to remind folks of God’s presence still.

Folks would daily walk the path ... in hope to bring God nearer

and walking by self for a time ... helped to make things clearer.

The Outer court:

My body seems like the outer court ... that is seen by all.

Friend and foe see there all I am ... my rising and my falls.

The Holy Place:

My soul only the High Priest can see ... my priesthood as a believer.

It is hidden from the world ... but influenced by the deceiver.

Holy of Holies:

My spirit is where God resides ... through the Holy Spirit.

No man can enter in that place ... unless in Christ, in Spirit.

Until The Veil was rent on the cross ... by our Savior and Lord

Now the reborn can enter in ... only with God’s accord.

Here is where God communicates and meet us One on one.

No Veil is left nor sacrifice ... all that has been done.

Spirit to spirit, the only Way ... Hand in hand we walk

with Christ to the temple mount ... smiling as we talk.

All is simple when He speaks ... never any guessing

just direct and lovingly ... no need for then for confessing.

Far above the flesh ... is where the Spirit resides.

Death has no influence ... as Christ and I confide.

In the Holy of Holies ... God is the only Light.

It is the only place I can see ... the things that are out of sight.
