The temple

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

The Temple

The temple where the Spirit lives

should be God’s Hall of Glory.

Where you receive guests on regular days

to show them “Life” …  the Redemption Story.

When visitors step into your heart

what will they find worth keeping?

Are there treasures like peace and solitude

or do they find you sleeping?

Are the treasures built on love?

Are compassion and carefree gliding

on the wings of hope and tenderness

in the Image of Christ residing?

Caring for them with no place to go

whose despair and defeat seems endless.

No peace, no help, no place to rest,

is your temple there for the helpless?

By whom is this temple controlled

Is it formed by the Spirit?

Is the temple open all the time?

If not! You better get with it.
