Tell Me What's Wrong

I am sad

Everything has gone awry

Nothing’s right

My candle is gone

Just when I’m about to give up

My phone lights up with your name

“I’m going be there in 10 minutes,” it reads

Suddenly my candle shows a small glow

When you arrive, I hear bells ring

“I love you, tell me what’s wrong,” you say

I’ll start to cry and you’ll carry me to the couch

I’ll lay on you and you’ll wrap a blanket around me

I vent for hours; your shirt wet from tears

And you’ll ask what else is wrong

I’ll look into your eyes and say

“A little bit less now that you’re here.”

By the time you leave, the candle is a full flame

I’m more than fine, in fact I’m happy

One day I’ll never be sad again

Because you’ll never ever let me go
