Teaching to the Bottom!

Sun, 10/06/2013 - 22:21 -- jojo3

You look at the language of a story such as Hamlet,

And kids today are unable to understand it.

The slippery slope that our generation falls,

Is due to the lack of ambtion of us all.

The ones that want to move ahead,

Are weighed down by those whos brains are dead.

Teachers are worried about those who fail,

Meanwhile I am ready to continue the trail.

The standards are lowered for educating,

Yet, I have to pay the price of waiting.

Stop teaching to the bottom, and raise the expectations!

We all deserve to be held to the same standards and regulations.

Even, for some of us, if that means having to work harder to meet them,

Thats what our country needs, those who can contribute to the same stem.
