Tap tap tapThe drops

Tap tap tap
The drops gently caress the surface
With each tap I see memories
The expression on their faces
Now they haven't the heart to smile
I lie still as each shares their feelings
Everyone is showing love to a stranger
Someone they've seen but never understood
Their eyes speak volumes
But in this crowded room their is not a sound
Only a line full of guilt
Each person speaks about me
Each has their own version
But all knew I was there when needed
Even still, just as I lay I was alone
Tap tap tap
The drops become more aggressive
The last to speak meant the world to me
She forces a smile and speaks truth
I loved him but I never showed
He was always there and I was too busy
Because of him I was never alone
I never thought he'd be gone
We didn't deserve his love
But no matter what he cared
And now it's to late for him to be appreciated
Tap tap tap
The sky has opened to release its fury
As I'm taken off display and covered up
