Tangled in a Dream

Waiting in the tower here I stand,

hoping for a prince to grab my hand.

Day and night, the lanterns light up,

they fly away taking my hopes too.

All those days watching from the windows,

all those times wishing my prince was near.

Now I see how blind I've been,

how my prince is no where near.

I look at the stars one last time,

I whisper my last hope of dreams gone by.

I jump-my hair flying,

swinging in the night sky.

I land on the Earth below,

finally out of the clouds.

At last I see the light,

the fog has finally lifted.

And At last I see the light,

everything looks brand new.

And I don't need a prince to be happy,

I know I can spell "love" without "u".

All at once my world has finally shifted,

now that I don't need you.
