Take the Poem as You Please

I've seen you with my two eyes

You're a mystery etheral

Because beauty is not

The right adjective to describe you...

You stare back at me;

I avert my gaze

I pretend to do soemthing important

You stay looking and I look back

Our eyes lock into place

More haphazardly than precisely

Unlike two space shuttles docking

We are prone to look other places

Nervous? Curious? Who's to say?

But who will talk first?

Maybe, I think, I'll grab you

By the hand and we will

Travel to places where we

Won't care about the future

We'll travel blindly to the stars

To the ground where the people

Created Great cities

To replicate the sky, but barring it

From ever being gawked at

By oblivious citizens

However, I often wonder

And I think

If I should just stay there

And relish your gaze

Maybe as you relish mine

Often times I wonder if

I should take my time with you

And be prudent

Evaluating the depths of your dark gaze
