The system deserves lynching

Is there justice in this world Is justice just a child's dream Only seen in the eyes of the naive and foolish The iris of a black man Has never truly seen justice But it has seen pain and segregation His hands are no stranger to hand cuffs His body is slammed on the ground Like a rag doll His legs know only to run At the sight of sirens He is always guilty Even for crimes he did not commit His skin is enough evidence And when he decides to run his life is taken My dear son Andrew I am sorry for what your eyes have seen I am sorry for what you're body has felt Even in your innocence you were killed May your soul rest in peace What is a mother without her son I remember the feeling of carrying your for  the first time , How your eyes shone with the innocence They had the same shine  On the day you left me forever How can I live When the greatest part of me no longer lives I am living ashes Easily blown by the wind My son kept me together But now I am in pieces Pieces repeatedly broken by the death of my son How  can I live when the men Who shot you roam the world free Dressed in blue instead if orange Living there lives freely When they deserve life imprisonment Guilty men praised for their act of brutality I pray that one day they are shot dead I pray in that moment They have same fearful look that you had I pray they may know my pain A black mother who's son society turned a blind eye He was too dark to be seen in the eyes of justice. This world is darker than my skin It coldly treats those with melanin The system's ears are deaf When the blacks cry out I want the same thing everybody wants Justice is what I crave But instead we are directed to the grave Justice claims to be everyone But it is for only the white ones The pillar of our society Is built on the backs of our ancestors But we are still mistreated My son was destroyed By the failure of the damn system He was lynched But it was never recognised This system is the one That deserves to be lynched.
