Symphony of the Rain

Have you ever heard the Symphony of the Rain?

Listened to it closely and let it wash away your pain?

It’s a funny thing to be sure,

That there is music in something so pure.

Each droplet a beat in a song so vast,

As they bound and leap onto rooftops, and windowpanes of glass.

Soothing rhythms, sweeping crescendos.

Can you hear it now as it flows?

Cunning scientists believe they have figured it out,

It’s nothing but moisture from a cloud.

While that might be what’s happening,

We hope for more than that, our ears aching.

There’s something more in the clouds above,

A serenity that most never think of.
