Sweet Brown Girl

Sweet brown girl

why do you cry?

You are beautiful, loved, and have caught my eye.

I love the way your eyes sparkle and shine,

You have no hand to hold? Well here,

Take mine.

Sweet brown girl

Please do smile,

Dance in the sand

Forget the bland

Past that takes hold

And grips tight like quick sand

You're sinking my dear, but I'll pull you up

We're now in this together

The best of luck

Today I have made

a kind new friend,

This sweet brown girl of

whom I'll see again.
