Surreal vs. Reality

Poetry entered at a young age

At a time of my life

Quite an early stage

Expressing an interest

The options to choose from

They're limitless

It can be real or fake

There's no right or wrong

No one saying there's a mistake

If happy, the clouds are filled with illustrious things

Nice to Imagine

If sad, the birds in the distance have darkened wings

Only thoughts enter the reader's mind

What's going to come next

Who knows what they'll find

Like any good book

A story can be told

Instead of unraveling by chapters, the poem slowly unfolds

This poem is about:
Me
