If power were in my hands
If power were in my hands
I would give my people a greater chance
Chance to fulfill their destiny
Chance to digress or advance
I'd leave it in their hands
If power were in my hands
People would know my race
For the right reasons
We would not be looked at as a race of disgrace
But as a race with a great faith
And both the power and desire to win life's race
If power were in my hands
I would pursue some major plans
Ones that would draw attention
Not sure exactly what they would be
But definitely
Ones that would
Benefit you and me
If power were in my hands
You would feel its warm embrace
As it sought to bring together every race
This poem is about:
My community
My country
Our world
