Superiority

As I walk through the doors on my last first day,

with a smile across my face and nothing in my way

I know this is the year, my year, for something great.

As I walk down the crowded hallway,

with my friends right beside me,

the sight of tan lines and sunburns is all that I see.

The sound of laughter fills my ears,

along with adventures many obtained.

I have waited many years,

for this day that I have gained.

The first day of senior year,

is like no other from my high school career.

It is filled with superiority,

and unlimited power.

No longer will I fear,

the upperclassman here

because this is the year, my year,

that I am an upperclassman.
