Super Charged

I knew what I had to do

The breathy giggles and speading heart beat

Tell tale signs

The thunder laughing and the rain patting

I couldn't help it!

Jumping up

Racing to the window

The sun was glistening in the west

The storm having too much fun in the east

Burning desire

I knew what I had to do!

Finally outside, a great feat really as I raced

Then, with hesitation, opened that screen door

I tiptoed along the already soggy green and brown ground

The ivy on the side of the house dripping

And then I ran!

Spinning and spinning!

The tree had shelter but I didn't want it

The drops of crystal kissing my skin

I finally felt at peace with the earth
