The Suns Wife

The plants wither and die when winter rolls around,
all their nutrients and beauty belong again to the ground.
Are people like this too, perhaps?
Who once stood tall and bold and beautiful,
Now lie dormant and broken and begin to relapse?
I think so, it’s true.
We all have our seasons for varying reasons.
But like the flowers in spring,
we will once again grow bigger and bolder with more color and life.
We will stand taller and taller and be the suns wife.

Wrote this poem to help change how some people look at themselves. Everyone goes through a winter phase, but I promise, your sun will start to shine again and you will grow bigger, and stronger, and you are beautiful.
