Sunny Side Up

The sun shall shine again on this hopeless romantic. I’m leaving the element and/or illusion of love in God’s hands. I’m done searching for true love and my other half. Good things come to good people and those who patiently wait for His involvement in such a matter. Thus here starts my Swiss state-of-mind until someone comes with a solid, concrete, and true proposition of love. For now, my heart shall remain adamant of expressing its true, noble, and loving colors. Shards of grey shall be the only items on display until someone opens the Heavens and transcends the vast, and beautiful colors displayed on an eloquent canvas much like Monet which filters through my pores and into the deepest loins of my heart.

Step by step, day by day I shall climb out of this abyss in which I was forsaken into. My strong character and immense hope shall see me strive through as I always manage to do. Our fates are not sealed…if one can understand one’s risks and learn how to negate them, one can outrun the reaper and all those daemons whom seek to dethrone Love.

Love shall never be trampled or wither amongst adversity, i.e. it shall shine through no matter what hurdles it’s faced with. As the cliche says, “LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH.”

Love shall PREVAIL.

The title threw me off a little bit. I don't think the title fits well. When I read the title, I expected some playful, even superficial verses. This poem is a lot deeper than the title leads on, but the poem is a good one. "Love shall never be trampled or wither amongst adversity." I love that line. Love is one of the most powerful emotions and, until you have experienced it in a number of capacities, you will never quite understand the vastness of it.
