A Sunny Day in Olympus High

The sun shone its bright splendor into the windows of Olympus High,

brightening the students mood right on time,

for Hades, the blueish and frightening boy had made those standing quiver.

Didn't you know? Many students feared their fellow classmate

for many knew that he would inherit the underworld

where he would be a soul-taking lord.

Hades, however, had not chosen this path

he did not have a say at all in his ever closer future of loneliness and sorrow.

And as this boy neared his first class of the day, out of the corner of his eye

he saw a beautiful creature that made him stand frozen,

as though Kronus had frozen time.

He could not believe that it was possible for someone so beautiful to exist.

As he stood gaping at who had caught his eye, along came Zeus

his ever more popular brother and one of his big bothers

"Has she caught your eye, brother?"

"Her name is Persephone. In case you wondered."

And as Zeus left him standing alone,

Hades could only feel every syllable of her name,

wondering how it would sound on his tongue when spoken.

And as he stared off, his mind wandering into space.

She turned her gaze in his direction.

Instantly cutting him off his spell,

and for the first time, he knew what the word 'crush' meant.

Those onlooking the scene stood in shock,

for a miracle had happened.

His toneless skin turned pink.
