You came into my life, i was in a state of melancholy
Everything moved capriciously, everything about my life changed
You are the complete antithesis of everything i am
Yet somehow we balance out
I am the Sun;
Burning, red, and passionate
And you, you are the moon,
Calm, tranquil, grey
What we have is esoteric
Adorned by both me and you
I'll dawdle away my days with you,
Together as the sun and the moon

The metaphor of the sun and the moon to represent two very different people who get along well is a great idea! This poem made me think about the saying "opposites attract" but in a much grander scale.
