Summertime Knowledge

At last! Summer break is finally here.
I shout and jump with great cheer.
No homework, no tests, no school,
Having fun will be the only rule.

Science, English, math—they're such a bore,
School is just comprised of grades and scores.
There's nothing wrong with learning new things,
But when you're forced to, it just stings!

Guitar or piano, which should I learn?
The desire to satisfy my musical soul is of great concern.
Chords and notes to memorize,
Forming a beautiful melody to mesmerize.

Guten Morgen! Selamat Pagi!—is good morning.
Foreign words will now be adorning,
My speech like some sort of secret code.
"Learning languages certainly is fun!" I crowed.

Alas, summertime is coming to an end,
The days of studying and work are just around the bend.
Let's settle down and open that book,
Turn a page and take a look.
