Success is Plaguing

Success is plaguing, an illness that creeps in the night

It takes over and cripples your body the more you fight

Third or second place will never do

Don’t fool yourself, until you’re first it’ll never be through

The constant struggle with your inner self

The outer displaying all smiles, inside feeling as small as an elf

Feeling inferior, outdated and worn

Undoubtedly leading your heart to be torn

Revel in your victories

And let your demons become history

Do not forget what they forced you to go through and feel

But always remember, on your knees you must never kneel

You are the victor, the campion in your life

Don’t be afraid to recognize your own strife

We all hit road blocks, times we feel less than

Don’t let this feeling become present your whole life’s span

You aren’t defined by the failure you had

“Success” is more than it seems, it’s really a fad
