A Student, a Citizen, a Man
A car, cannot buy itself
An application, cannot write itself
A scholarship, cannot apply itself
A future, cannot realize itself
A student, passing through school
A citizen, passing through work
A man, passing through life
A man, passing through time
A son, moving out
A brother, shaking hands
A grandson, waving again
A father, guiding thy hand
A pencil, here in my fingers
A paper, laying at my arm
A desk, holding my things
And a classroom, there forever
This poem is about:
Me
My family
