By the Stroke of a Key

Words are made difficult to speak
Without a voice by which to hear them
Similarly, my keys confirm
The thought expressed on the screen.
By the stroke of a key.
It is by the stroke of a key
That I know my world exists.
The means by which I
Touch, hear, and see,
By the stroke of a key.
My keys speak to me,
While at the same time,
Giving me a voice.
By the stroke of a key,
I have discovered… me.
I have learned to communicate,
By the stroke of a key.
I offer thought and commentary,
Bright and crisp and clear as day,
For me there is no other way.
By the stroke of a key,
Am I who I am.
With a penchant for loquaciousness,
I am me,
By the stroke of a key.
