Strawberry

I see Selma the strawberry girl

With freckles like strawberry seedsAnd a strawberry's persistence to flourish among weedsAnd a hat as green as a strawberry topAnd her strawberry laughter at the rain going drip, drip, drop Do you see Selma the strawberry girl?Bits of bones scattered like strawberry seedsHer body, abandoned in the weedsNo more hat green as a strawberry topHer blood pooled on the ground, red like strawberry flesh, as her corpse begins to rot.
