The Storm Inside Me

There's a Raging Storm Inside Me

Can't you see the waves refrain?

There's a raging storm inside me

Won't you be the one to save?

Within these walls that hold these flaws

A battle is thrashing on

You've seen me numb and thought withdone

to see me run from haul

There's a raging storm inside me

Won't you halt your reprimand?

There's a raging storm inside me

Why can't you come to understand?

You see my face without a trace

of joy or even pain

You see my eyes without a shape

and have nothing from me to gain

There's a raging storm inside me

Won't you throw a rope today?

There's a raging storm inside me

I have nothing left to pay

You see me through the eyes

of your own tumbling sea

You see me in a different light

than how I want to be

I don't resist you pacifist

or stand on my own two feet

Really I'm just kicking and gasping

as I drown in my deep red sea

There's a raging storm inside me

Why won't you understand?

There's a raging storm inside me

Abandon ship and leave me to my land!
