The Storm

I sat there in silence, not a word in mind

Hands as cold as ice,

Couldn’t even feel the frost bite

I was use to this feeling...

       Emptiness

Hits you like a train

Until it’s too hard to maintain

Crying at night

Trying to grasp a hold of your life with all your might

You wanna talk,

But you can’t find the words

Until all there is, is to sit in silence.

Hoping someone might hear your silent cries

But then again how could someone hurt you with all those lies

The world is against you

That snow storm building up inside

Until...

Finally you break

But eventually that snow melts

And the people you love, will help

Things take time

Life will straighten out, like one long line

So the next time you feel that storm,

Don’t you dare feel torn

I’m here

I’ve felt that storm.
