Stories

Everybody has a story,

I know it's been said before.

But that doesn't really change anything

Unless we take it to our core.

The girl over there,

Popular, but everybody hates her.

She hides behind a front, trying to understand,

Why her daddy is sick with cancer,

And her mother left him for another man.

The kid in the corner, do you see him over there.

His clothes are kind of smelly,

And he has really greasy hair.

What he'd never ever tell you,

Is that he's living with his gram

Because his deadbeat, druggie father

Isn't worth a damn.

Then there's the pretty girl,

Evereybody wants to be her

But they haven't got a clue,

that she struggles with body image

And it's been three days since she's had some food.

Don't forget the quiet one,

She's really very shy.

Did you know that when she was five

She was raped by her uncle

And swore she'd never trust another guy.

Now we'll never hear these stories,

And it seems that there's nothing we can do.

But please, don't judge them by what you see

They all have stories, just like you and me
