Still waters

Troubled still waters, redefined tomorrows
Would the lord lay me down nest to the bubbling?
Stony heart springs, tears making a fountain
I got a dream; to sail oceans
Tell my tales, tales of the black people
Tales of earth from a different place
Talks of heroes with different names
Mansa, Soyinka, Haile Selassie
Heroes of words, heroes of deeds
Heroes of heroes, heroes that live
Heroes that died, heroes that breathe
Heroes of our time, heroes in me.
