Stereotype.

I will not give you the inferior stereotype you force upon me.
I will not raise my voice during a conversation or during a disagreement for your own entertainment.
the color of my skin will not determine whether or not my education is superior.
I was never born or raised in the "hood"
I do not hang out on Paramore street and do not have parents that live off welfare.
there is a future in my home and I am the future in this world.
I AM somebody further then the brown coat of my skin.
my words are from the thousands of books I have read and the vocabulary from the same classrooms you sit in.
you and I are not different at all.
so how dare you stereotype me?
I am a young lady that maintains her image.
I stand strong next to the title "black female"
I will never be ashamed of my race, but never....
will I ever bow down to the false facade society has made for me..
my voice is firm..
and my my brown is loud.
but my dignity...is forever..
