Star Light, Star Bright

Star Light, Star Bright

First star I see tonight

I wish I may, I wish I might

have these wishes I wish tonight

I wish school started later, nine at the earliest

I can't function in the morning, I'm like a zombie

I can't even remember how I got to school

or why I'm wearing magenta pants with a green shirt

I wish I could wear PJs to school

their way more comforable than jeans

and their soft

and cozy

and warm

they're covered in dog hair

but that's beside the point

I wish projects weren't so hard

whatever happened to crayons and glue stcks?

all those red marks across the paper make my vision swim

why do teachers use red to correct papers?

I'd much prefer orange

or green

or even PURPLE

I wish cafeteria food was better

my eggs look like tofu

my ham wiggles like jelly

my mayo looks like mustard

if this is what you feed people in prison

then I don't ever want to go to prison

I wish we had recess

seven hours of nonstop work

you might as well stick me in a straightjacket

lunch is my only solace

and it's only a half hour long

oh, the many woos of being in high school

Star Light, Star Bright

first star I see tonight

I wish I may, I wish I might

have my f***en diploma by tonight
