Standing Against Racism

“What has our world come to?” I ask.

Have we not learned from our past?

Morals are becoming a blurred sight.

We are doing things that we know aren’t right

People are judging others for their race.

Since when did this become okay?

We ended segregation for a great reason,

But it’s coming back like it’s just another season.

Isn’t this the land of the free?

Then why do we get targeted for being “out of key?”

Our skin may be different, it may not be the same,

But that doesn't give anyone the right to throw dirt on our names.

What’s right is right,

What’s wrong is wrong,

Together as a nation,

We have to stand strong!
