Spring

I wish I could be like a spring flower

Patiently, persistently persevering in the harsh winter underground

For months

Finally to rise again, brushing off the cold and pushing through darkness.  I wish I could be like a spring flower   I wish I could be like a spring flower  Compared to its simplicity and size, the power of a spring flower is monumental.  Green shoots and spikes, barely emerging, bring smiles to all who see  Hope for warmer, longer, lighter days  Peace that hardship is ending  Excitement for summer  And wonder.  I wish I could be like a spring flower
