Alas spring, a season of love and sun and warmth,
where birds fly high in the sky, though rain is frequent too,
lots of storms, they make this agreeable season something torn:
people don't know if they have to love it or not, they have their head in a knot!
But alas, it's spring, hear the bells ring, it's a new, fresh sound,
soon it will be warm enough for a swim in the lake,
let's see how long it takes! I for sure, will sit outside and eat some cake,
the bees buzzing on the flowers around me,
what a gay scenery, makes me feel as if I'm in the 18th century!
Alas spring, I missed you my dear friend.
It's time for us both to hug and take this duel to end.
Promise me, you will come back. When you're gone,
summer will take your place, then autumn and winter.
I can't go a whole year without seeing my lonely star in the sky twinkle.
