Special Olympics Made me who I am.

Location

Special Olympics made me who I am.

Scared the first day not knowing what to expect,

But the kids came in with smiles, hugs, and friendships.

Special needs of all kinds,

Disabled but truley alive.

Not a care in the world just happy with who they are.

They love you for you.

Matt with his warm smile,

Dallas with her amazing hugs,

Victoria who taught me to sign and to listen with your heart not with your ears.

And there is Brenda who lights up the room and lifts you up when upset,

Then there is Damon who is sweet as can be teaching me about my imagination.

These are just some of the amazing people that made me, me.

They taught me to love and live.

They taught me to be patient and kind.

And as graduation approaches I grow sad.

These guys are what my high school career was centered around.

Seeing everyone for four straight years.

So I will cheerish my last year with them,

Look forward to visits once I am gone.

Yes I will cry, but only happy tears.

For these amazing, perfect, loving people changed me.

They are now apart of my heart and family forever.

Special Olympics made me who I am.
