Speak Up For the Silent

Location

In our day to day lives today we act like we're fine,

We sit on our couches as life passes by.

But what about those whose lives are not theirs;

Those who feel that no one in this world really cares.

Trapped and enslaved with no hope in sight;

They lie in dark rooms and cry all through the night.

They were taken and carried away from their loved ones

To a place where they are abused and alone.

They pray for resucue but no help ever comes.

Their despair sinks down, down deep, to the bone.

So how can we sit here as they suffer in silence

With no one to love them or to help them escape?

Stand up, reach out, break through the silence.

Show the world that these people are hurting.

Listen to the silent crying.

It isn't too late.
