Wanting to know what is only God’s

wanting to be like Him.

Like Adam in the Garden

who lost self in the “might have been”.

 

Searching for the difference

and accepting superiority

in material deed and speeches

showing the carnal “me”.

 

Searching for understanding

to fill an intelligent mind.

Expanding in forever

for self, me and mine.

 

All then turn on feeling

joy and sorrow alike.

Oversensitive in emotion

like a heartbeat falls and spikes.

 

Carnality becomes a way of like

in bondage never free.

It is almost like Christ died in vain

on that rugged tree.
