Soul of a Thousand

Soul of One, the one with average features,
average life
but she sees herself all the time
when walking down the hall
at least two times
Soul of Two, sharing a body
of a young girl and a wicked mage
whose power has cost her freedom
Soul of Three, meant to be one but split
by a man who wanted more
"rejecting" her existence to become whole once more
Soul of Four, the girl with ice in her veins
wishing to drink the blood of her father
and the one who traps her
Soul of Five, the one who steals shadows
turning their lives into wicked butterflies
only to burn in the purifying light
Soul of Six, the one with a green eye
the other compensation for her
sinful taboo
Soul of Seven, electric wings
that wish to be freed of the
monster with the same name
Soul of Eight, the one who made
a contract with a devil
so that she can dance one day
Soul of Nine, walking in the shadow
of her own death
fighting to prevent her countries
Soul of Ten, the one who could see a future
of death
dancing with her black blade in a not ever ending battle
with her own
Soul of Twelve, her wings mistaken
for an angels
are the wings of the devil
Soul of Thirteen, their souls
of the purest form
but tainted by their own sin
Soul of Fourteen, the hand of death in one
life in the other
balancing each through her own unseeing eyes
Soul of Fifteen, always in my dreams
always next to me
always killing me

Souls never end. They are forever existing. Whether it be in this world or that one, or hers, or theirs. They are there. Unchanging. Unwavering. Without flaw. Without mercy. Without... soul.

But. Then you reach the end...

The Soul of a Thousand.

The one who dreams of the most beautiful things.

Forever alone it would seem.

Her soul is crushed and split, its shards scattered across the globe.

To find each peace is a weary task.

One that only a dragon can ask.

The Soul of a Thousand

Is but one of a hundrend.

One of a tenth.

One of nothing.

Soul. What soul?

The number never ends.
