Soul-power

Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Soul Power

My soul is filled with natural strength ... that is to be denied.

If followed in its intentions ... my deeds will be fried.

My body on the other hand ... is just an extension

of what the soul premeditates ... as it’s sin’s pretention.

Oh, old man, my enemy ... you’re going to have to die.

You seem to be all of me ... you beg and make me cry.

You never leave me alone ... you always nag and judge.

You thrive on guilt and desire ... you hold me down as such.

You always tell me there is no hope ... you always laugh at others.

You always state with arrogance ... “You’re self-made, just don’t bother”.

You think that God only helps those ... you perceive “to help themselves”.

You are evil personified ...  you appear like the “one” in twelve.   (Oh! Judas)

OneWord

I like this. I especially like the first line in the second verse, "Oh, old man..." alluding to Romans 6.
