Soul

1 Thessalonians 5:23 23 Now may the God of peace himself make you completely holy and may your spirit and soul and body be kept entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Soul

To be troubled in soul and spirit,

to be discouraged close to defeat.

As things are appearing hopeless

far from the wish … that could have been.

Is it there that The Father of Spirits

forms us to pursue Peace and Holiness?

And wills us to accept in patience

the good and bitter … and the unseen.

Opportunity awaits us

to be trained by righteousness.

Is that what we really search for

and what we want on earth?

Why is it seemingly so easy

for the root of bitterness to appear?

Is it because of our love of comfort

and because our “fallen” birth?

Heart and soul … where is the difference?

Who is me and where am I?

Is it a blessing or a hindrance

that I don’t know the reason why?

I am one … but so divided.

I am countless … but in whole?

Lost in patterns of not knowing

in creation’s constant cries.
