A soul’s revelation

His eyes; brown and constant as the stars
Their attention focused, that no blow could waver
Nothing unnoticed; stretching near and far
Crying out in pain that he’ll always remember

A light steadily brightening, yet denies
Banned to the dark to search in envy
A battle for the great for his soulful eyes
Glazing over in shock as they’re knocked into a frenzy

Struggling with memories long torn from sight
Racing to the battlefront for dominance
Plaguing his eyesight; forcing him far behind the disfigured night
Projecting an air of supreme prominence

Revealing nothing, and giving everything
And forever silent in his soul-deep teachings
