watching little men

killing ancient spreading oaks

proves we've lost our souls

leaves in the wind

i play taps on your grave

to honor you, dad

directions home

mother’s name before she wed

why can’t i remember

Searching for god this morning

I was sidetracked by the rain

To an awning serving coffee

A stray dog came near

And sniffed my stinky feet

“I’ll call you god,” said me
