Solitude

the quietness surrounds me

it embraces me with it's silence and serenity

and I feel a sensation within me

as it takes hold of my body, mind, and soul

i'm becoming the person inside

inside these built up walls of seclusion

walls that protect myself from danger

the danger that targets its prey

lingering low before it leaps for the kill

and i'm becoming the person inside

a creature learning to live in the shadows

watching those around me closely

studying their every move and making it my own

knowing the difference between right and wrong

then getting confused when the wrong becomes something right

it's a process

for as i am becoming the person inside

i am becoming the person i want to be
