sole embrace

I don't need to see to believe

That rest could be a gentle sea

Bound to the mast in hurricane dreams

Corrupting the peace of my dormancy.

Sloshing through on aching soles

thrashing clawing to submerge my soul

in hope that I won’t wake up in solus

Without you here I just feel so soulless.

I just need your sole embrace

To move my mind to a dormant place

To ease my heart to a slower pace

Like when you and I had our souls embrace.

But you're still such a terrible liar

Threw lies that set my heart on fire

Without you here I just feel so wired

cause sleep doesn't help when your soul is tired.

So i don't need to see to believe

When every night I feel those seas

I see us swaying calm and free

And I drown in the places you took from me.
