Society's Game
Class, class, class. School, school, school.
They tell you this, play by their rules.
You play the game, you take a roll.
Throw the dice, you never know.
Hoping that you land on the envied square.
You play the game, you hope and dare.
Land on the wrong, you lose the game.
Can't land on the right? it's all in vain.
Class, class, class. School, school, school.
They tell you this, play by their rules.
But the rules always change: never for you.
They change for the elite, change for the few..
They change to fit the needs of those on top.
Those who already won, those with a lot.
You lost, you're down, you're done.
Life is a game, but never is fun.
But you roll the dice and play the game.
The rules will never stay the same.
What was needed yesterday is now obsolete.
Wanted to be a manager? That sure would be a treat.
So did everyone else, those positision are filled.
You wasted your time, your spoils are to be billed.
What a joke, you should have stayed on the ground.
At least then, you can hear all the sounds.
Instead, you hear:
Class, class, class. School, school, school.
You've been hearing that since you were a young fool.
The whispers the teachers tell you, that you need college.
They beg you to go in debt and get all that useless knowlege.
You hope for a job, but so do all the rest.
There's too many, and they don't always choose the best.
But still, our heads are filled with the vision.
Go to college, expand your life, just accept the tution.
It's not a game of skill, it's a game of luck.
If you're born to a wealthy family, only then you have struck.
The game is rigged. For us, it always has been.
Is it worth it? Worth the debt, the stress, not knowing the end?
You need a loan? You need several.
Spend money to make money, it's all a gamble.
Class, class, class. School, school, school.
They tell you this, play by their rules.
It's simple, the players are the fools.
The winners win, the losers lose.
