Society

Accept me or reject me

What do you want society?

All you ever want is your perfection

And what you get from me is objection

Your definition of perfect is just bias

Symmetry, height, big busts, big butts,

Tan skin, no body hair, makeup everywhere

And I am none of that

The obstruction, disruption, imperfection, rejection

Self-infliction on my arms

Writing a message in blood

Hoping someone will listen.

I’m always falling in the hole of depression

Anxiety scares me with all of its intentions

So short, so plain, so small, ugly, hairy

I can’t help it, I am sorry.

Everywhere I go I see your image of beauty

And everyday I feel the jealousy and envy

Move through my veins, it drives me insane

Society, this is what you are.

But I am thankful I have people who accept me

I am glad there are people just like me

And together we are equal

Every human is the same

Society, you take the blame.

Accept me or reject me

What do you want society?
