Society

We all are made of a society,
With different types of varieties,
A majority of our teenagers today,
Are born prematurely, due to parents,
Who lack self-control,
With their addictions,
To Drugs and Alcohol.

35% of teens go to school,
With bruises that are black and blue
Have a disorder which causes them,
To stutter, or drool,
Rage, or lash out, at a person
Who constantly tears them down,
Just cause they are different.
Our society today has become,
A nightmare, with all the self-hate,
To cause a kid to kill themselves,
Cuz they don't belong here says one teen who thinks its okay to hide,
Behind a computer screen,
While that teen also has issues,
With addiction to cutting and drinking.

Why can't our society, straighten up,
So our teens can be safe.
Unbroken and not harmed,
By a fist of words coming from a society that says we have to be perfect.
