A Snow Covered Night

Location

The bitter bite of the frosty cold

flakes dance on eyelashes and nip at noses

The crystal white city on a snow covered night

twinkling evergreens tower over, bathed in bright light and the glitter of fresh snow

street shops cast down their golden light, selling deep red blooming roses

the bitter bite of the frosty cold

the frozen wind tickles your neck, lifts your hair, you giggle, “oh!”

the couple sauntering down the street, snap pictures of poses

the crystal white city on a snow covered night

coal-black streetlamps radiate a gentle, warn glow

a street performer singing the song he composes

the bitter bite of the frosty cold

the jolly people walk by in a steady flow

he pulls out the ring box, undoes the clasp that closes

the crystal white city on a snow covered night

surprised, the wind could knock her over in one swift blow

he gets down on one knee and proposes

the bitter bite of the frosty cold

the crystal white city on a snow covered night.
