Snap

Snap

Staring into the aftermath

She’s gone…he is gone

The responsible have fled and now are lost in the pile.

The mouth drops

The tears dry

 Snap.

She rises slowly and in pain

But she is alone

Save for the ones who put her down

Surprised she has risen

She feels the blood between her legs…on her face.

Her eyes…they narrow

Snap

Cellphone pings

Another laughing face

More and more of the wrong pics

More laughing and disgrace

The fifth time this week

The power button clicks…

Snap

Here comes the report

Gripped in his sinister hand

The same him grins and mentions the last straw

Others get more straws

The door slams

That head vein swells

Snap
