Small World

Many labor over little things

Keeping close to cardboard-hands

They love these hands

They love the tangible

Obsess in the real

And refuse to feel

Far beyond what is here

Beyond, but within

Within, and around

It totally surrounds:

The quantum world of wonders

Real and unreal

And both at once

Alinear minds try

To comprehend alinear time

A fundamental confusion

To the point of indecency

It mocks and taunts

This Principle of Uncertainty

But it is a part of us

And the macro-world

The potential to be

More than is seen

An innate nature

Of inifinite possiblity

I revel in humanity's

Principle of Uncertainty

Because that is what inspires me

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
