Skybound

Tethers to the forest floor

I'm as gounded as the roots of the trees,

Yet I fall

Skyward!

Going up and up and up,

Ever higher

So high I see the colours

Of the sea and dessert

They are like a colourful tapestry.

Faster, Faster

The clouds can't hold me

Skyward!

Then, colours shatter-

Like raindrops, they fall,

Into the frist fruits of the feilds

As the stars glitter as I see their pure light.

And slowly the trees reach up and cratle the birds

In their deep green boughs

That was full of song at daylight.

Ever higher I fall,

embracing the calling

Of Stars

Skyward!

And, too soon,

I am lost in the light bright and glowing.

Their light shining

As they weave a blanket

Made from Luna

Skyward,

I fall,

Wrapped in the sweet, sweet warmth,

Of the Love of the Moonlight,

And as I stretch forth the claws and wings

That have carried me,

They hold the Starshine,

As it falls slowly down and freely given.

And I hold the light of many,

Trying to find ways

To put glass, back together,

And as Luna yawns in a deep breath,

I return

Skyward!

As closed eyes are skimmed by clouds

I return

The Deep Forest hears my call,

as I fall,

lightly and

Quiet,

I wake inside the crysalis,

of deep coloured flowers,

And awake to the cold dawn

And the gray walls,

Only to open those wings,

Now once again filled with Starlight,

And spread the warmth and

Hope,

Before again, once the colours return,

And as the rest of the gray, harsh world falls,

asleep.

I will once again fall,

Skyward!
