I can’t say I’m surprised

There is chaos in the streets 

Naturally 


But they were thoroughly prepared

Policeman dressed in riot gear 


Have no trouble 


Stopping those who protest

Acting like they are the savages 

When in reality


The opposite is more than true

The police murdered a man that day 

But they deny it 


Based on the color of his skin

They lied to the media 


Spread fire


To shield us from their horrid crime

I was unaware murder was legal

Depending on 


The skin of the innocent
